Biru Biru On The Island with sweeping views of the sea and relaxing environment is an ideal cafe to unwind in Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The pork-free cafe is tucked inside The Lost Paradise Resort, a boutique Balinese-inspired hotel decorated with Balinese doors, multi-coloured walls, colourful tiles, and Minangkabau roofs.
We are so happy that this Insta-worthy cafe is situated close to our neighbourhood. The surrounding is a more family-friendly vibe and is a cool venue.
Biru-Biru is built out on stilts over the sea and offers several seating options. If you happen to find a high stool front-row seat, grab it and you will be able to enjoy your meal with unobstructed view that overlooks the waters of the Andaman Sea.
Check out the tiny menu, where the bites are listed as Western delights like pizza, and pasta dishes. Adding to the choices is the local dish of Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah. For beverages, there is a menu of hot and cold choices which includes cold soda can drinks, coffee and non-coffee drinks besides refreshing coconut juice.
We pampered ourselves with their signature Biru Big Breakfast along with the Blue Lagoon soda drink. For dessert, we had the sweet Fruity Pancake paired with a cup of coffee.

If you are in Tanjung Bungah area, do make a visit to Biru BIru On The Island. Popular with the locals and visitors, the cafe located a very short distance away from the Penang Floating Mosque is a lovely place to stop by for a meal or just for a drink.
