Ramadhan Banquet Iftar Buffet Dinner @Hotel Equatorial Penang

Perhaps opt for the Private Ramadhan Banquet Iftar Dinner which allows you to choose from their range of menus. Each menu includes Raya-themed buffet dinner, standard Raya decorations in the ballroom and ten complimentary car park slots. Prices start from RM70 nett per person, with a minimum of 50 pax and above.

 

There are three menus and each offers enticing cuisines complimented with authentic Ramadhan specialties prepared with spice blends and herbs.

Be ready to tempt the senses with varieties of sour and spicy appetizers which include kerabu, jeruk-jeruk (pickles), keropok (various types of deep-fried crackers) and variety of ulam-ulaman with different spicy sambals.

 

From menu A, revel in main dishes such as the udang berjintan, kambing Madura, sambal sotong cili goreng, ayam masak lemak cili api, sayur goreng masak ala cina, and ikan masak kong poh dry cili.

The fare is homely and notable ones include the udang berjintan and sambal sotong cili goreng with its fiery red colour.

 

Put together a plate of tomato rice with finger-licking spicy prawns, four-angled beans (with dash of sambal), salted egg, sambal sotong, and deep-fried crackers. Add-on a piece of salted fish for an interesting saltish flavor.

 

From the action stalls, diners can indulge in street food like curry mee, savory deep-fried cucur udang, ice kacang (shaved ice with condiments), along with crunchy goreng-goreng deep-fried bananas, sweet potato as well as yam.

 

The dessert list offers everything you come to expect from the festive sweet treats and also Western sweets. Sit back and enjoy goodness of dates, sweet and savory local Malay kuih muih, cakes, puddings, tarts, and fruits.

Beverages are also presented with cool sirap bandung and hot choices like teh tarik, coffee or tea.

 

The hotel also offers outside catering service with Iftar takeaway menus whereby you can break fast at the comfort of your offices or homes with the cuisine brought to your doorstep. Prices start from RM560 nett (each set for 10 to 12 persons). Complimentary delivery within Penang island is provided for a minimum of two sets.
