As Shangri-La Golden Sands at Batu Ferringhi, Penang lights up with the excitement of Christmas and New Year, diners can look forward for festive buffet dinners, gourmet feasts, and takeaways treats. Diners will have a choice of dining in Sigi’s Bar & Grill (a trendy spot on the beach) or in the Garden Cafe (with a view overlooking tropical greenery).

There is a bountiful line-up of buffets and diners for Christmas and New Year. The Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner at the Garden Cafe will feature a buffet dinner featuring international dishes and the season’s delights. For those who delight in the ocean’s bounty, the station is loaded with treasures of the sea like poached prawns, flower crabs, escargots, mussels, scallops, oysters, and smoked salmon.
From the carvery station, one can also indulge in the Roasted Lamb Leg complemented with potatoes, vegetables, mint sauce and lamb jus.
For cooked warm dishes, choices are the Chicken Roulade with Truffle Al Jus, Lamb Chop, Pan-Fried Seabass with Asparagus, or go for the Ox-Tail Soup which offers fall-off-the-bone tender meat in aromatic soup.
After that, please your palate with a selection of Christmas desserts and fresh fruits.
Meanwhile over at Sigi’s Bar & Grill, the restaurant by the beach offers the Christmas Eve BBQ Buffet Dinner with a good selection of prime meats and fresh seafood flame grilled over charcoal fire.
