Ghee Hiang, the oldest and most renowned shop in pastries and cookies has unveiled its specially designed mooncake packaging for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. According to Dato’ Ch’ng Huck Theng, Executive Director of Ghee Hiang, the unique mooncake packaging aims to rekindle the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival’s lantern culture.
“We believe that our responsibility extends beyond creating delicious pastries and cookies; it also involves preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. By incorporating the traditional lantern designs into our packaging, we hope to inspire a sense of pride and curiosity in the younger generation and ensure the longevity of our precious traditions,” said Ch’ng.
The mooncakes are passionately handcrafted using traditional recipes passed down through generations. There are two sets of classic flavors for you to decide (prices before 31st August 2023):
