Jazz Hotel Penang at Tanjung Tokong Grand Opening In 19th May 2023
After the closure of Jazz Hotel Penang’s operation at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to see that the hotel is back in the limelight. Conveniently located in Tanjung Tokong, and close to Batu Ferringhi beaches and inner Georgetown, the 30-storey hotel with 255 guestrooms has recently re-opened.
With the hospitality industry and tourism in full swing, the hotel under the new management of Koenic Hotel Management, took a period of time to renovate and improve its facilities to ensure a unique and vibrant accommodation experience for all business and leisure travelers.
The grand opening occasion was graced by Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, YB Yeoh Soon Hin, the State Executive Councilor for Tourism & Creative Economy, Puan Siti Hajar Mohd Yunus, the Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Northern Region, and Mr Ooi Chok Yan, the CEO of Penang Global Tourism.
Also present were Managing Directors of Jazz Hotel, Mr Jack Eng and Mr Tan Tze Tao, and the Hotel Manager, Mr Jordon Lim.
With an interior design that is both contemporary and jazzy, the level two of the building includes Feast At Jazz, an all-day restaurant where guests will be sampling local and international fare. Another on-site restaurant is Haku Japanese Restaurant, a 70 pax seater with a menu to satisfy all of your Japanese culinary desires.

A lift ride up the building leads to the superior, deluxe and premier rooms and suites. All the guestrooms are fully-equipped with air-conditioning, satellite television, free secure high-speed internet connection, besides bath facilities. There are amenities to enhance your stay, like the rooftop infinity pool, and sea-view gymnasium. The range of health and fitness programme can keep you on site for hours.
