PARKROYAL Penang Resort Celebrates Ramadan with Juadah Warisan Indulgence Buffet Dinner
PARKROYAL Penang Resort celebrates Ramadan buka puasa with the Juadah Warisan Indulgence buffet dinner, featuring local Malay, Asian and International delicacies on a rotating menu basis by Chef Mohamad Amran and his team.
Held at the Cinnamon Asian Kitchen, the place is a wonderful spot to catch up for a breaking fast meal. Besides the air-conditioned dining area, there is the large venue which has ample outdoor seating surrounded by lush and lovely lit garden.
One can expect to find a display of kerabu (spicy salad) along with acar and jeruk. For kerabu, there are dishes like the kerabu jantung pisang, kerabu ikan dan cili api, and kerabu ayam acar timun & nenas. Right beside is the ulam-ulaman served with many types of spicy sambal along with crunchy deep-fried papadom and crackers.

There is a wide displayed of Malay dishes and seafood lovers will be interested in the ikan tenggiri goreng asam pedas tumis, sotong tumis petai, and the gulai udang lemak nenas which exuded a creamy spicy-sourish flavor. The dishes are perfect over steamed white rice. Besides this, the traditional nasi burhari also made a rich addition to the meal.

Diners could also choose to delight in some of their lighter cold salad and seafood dishes such as flower crab, prawns, and half shell mussels. The prawns were fresh and firm.

Larger appetites would revel in the meat and poultry dishes. As a start, there is the roasted whole lamb, beef sirloin, roasted rosemary flavored duck, and roasted chicken rice. The menu also gave a variety of seafood dishes with choices like fish mackerel and baked salmon with tomato, raisin, and pineapple salsa.

Besides that, the outdoor BBQ pit area offers grilled beef, BBQ rotisserie chicken, and satay with a choice of either chicken or beef.

The finale to the buffet dinner is the selection of local sweet treats which includes agar-agar santan, samolina pudding, assorted Malay kuih-muih, biscuits, and cakes. On the side is ice cream, waffles and ais kacang. For beverages, the teh tarik (hot milk tea) is a popular choice, with which we ended our meal with.
The buffet is served from 23rd March till 21st April 2023 (6.30pm-10.30pm). Prices start at RM88 nett for children, RM128 nett for senior citizen, and RM148 nett per adult. Guest will be entertained with traditional performance of Wayang Kulit (shadow puppet show) on Saturday, and traditional Malay music performance on Friday.
