Chinese New Year Buffet Blooming Abundance at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang
For this coming Chinese New Year, charm your taste buds with the many lunch and dinner buffet at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. Themed the “Year of Blooming Abundance”, the hotel will be bringing diners on a gastronomical journey with festive dine-in menus.

The CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE 2019 BUFFET DINNER is available from 4th February till 6th February at RM138nett per adult. There will be a 50% discount for senior citizen and kids aged six to12 years old. Children five years and below get to eat for free.
The buffet menu delivers a bountiful line-up to attract abundance and prosperity. It has a range of specials; the quintessential yee sang (with slices of smoked salmon), steamed fish, wok-fried prawns, and decadent desserts.

Dressed with varieties of sauce, crushed peanuts, and sesame seeds, the colorful yee sang with layers of flavors and a good amount of crunch certainly upped the festival happiness factor.

For starters, there are the 8 treasures seafood soup, sup ayam berempah, and freshly baked rolls, along with a spread of appetizers and salads.
The appetizers include chili prawns with pineapple & seedless grapes, chicken with shredded honeydew & peanut, squid with green mango, and barbecue duck with plum sauce. For those more in the mood of local salad, the gado gado and ulam are light yet healthy choices.

For cold seafood, don’t miss the fresh oysters. Other highlights include boiled prawns, crabs, and green mussels.

Noodle lovers will appreciate the selection of noodles which comes in slow boiled nutritious Chinese herbal soup or the fiery white curry soup.

Get traditional with the Chinese new year cookies along with Mandarin orange butter cake, red velvet cake, green tea cheese cake, pannacotta, chocolate moist cake, fresh fruit tarts, assorted ice cream and fresh fruits. The pannacotta presented in a chocolate cup is a perfect mouthful while the sago gula Melaka with creamy coconut milk & palm sugar is a popular local choice.
