Tuck into the Chinese New Year Prosperity set menus with traditional-style dishes crafted by chef de cuisine Chiam Choon Heng and his team at Sesame + Soy Pan Asian Chinese Cuisine restaurant, at G Hotel, Penang.

The six-course Year of the Horse Prosperity set dinner comes with two menus priced at RM98++ and RM128++ per person. “This menu is suitable for any number of people,” said Chiam.

The RM128++ six course prosperity set starts with the traditional yee sang made with kwei fei abalone and Norwegian salmon.

There’s also the braised sea treasures chowder to look forward to which comes with a variety of ingredients, including lobster and bamboo fungus.

Chiam is also serving a combination dish which includes deep-fried boneless chicken with kiwi and also sauteed white prawns with tomato, butter and cream cheese.

The menu also includes steamed cod fish with honshimeji mushrooms in a supreme soy sauce.

珍珠溢满屋

For dessert, there is sweetened dried longan with peaches, sea coconut, gingko nuts and lotus seeds. This traditional dessert is different in a good way as it has peaches added to it.

Alternatively, opt for the RM98++ six course prosperity set dinner, which features fatt choy yee sang with Norwegian salmon along with tomato chowder, sauteed white prawns, oven-baked cod fish, Japanese baby octopus and preserved duck meat fried rice. Dessert is sweet corn cream with coconut milk and glutinous rice balls.

The restaurant also offers a six course prosperity set lunch, priced at RM68++ per person. This menu will feature double-boiled village chicken soup, deep-fried boneless chicken, sauteed prawn meat in Korean spice, braised dried oyster, sea moss and lotus seeds, steamed fish fillet with Chinese herbs and black sesame cream with snow fungus.

The menu will be available from Jan 31 to Feb 14.
