Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas in Sepang, Selangor
I was down in Kuala Lumpur recently, invited to attend the soft launch of the Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas in Bagan Lalang, Sepang. That night’s event was officiated by the Minister of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen with the presence of many investors and people from the local & overseas travel agency.
Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas, is a brand new luxurious holiday resort by Sepang Goldcoast. What is unique about this resort is that it stretches out from the Sepang coastline, almost a kilometer into the sheltered waters of the Straits of Malacca with 393 sea villas that shape a palm tree. It had been noted in the Malaysia Book of Records as “The Longest Palm Tree Shape Resort in Malaysia”.

After an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, both my husband and I finally arrived at the resort. It is indeed an ideal holiday retreat; place for a romantic quiet getaway for two or a family vacation.
The deck overlooking the villas
The villas raised on stilts with alang-alang roofing come in semi-detached and detached design, ranging from 52 square-metres to 232 square-metres in size.
The villas and the clubhouse are separated away from the lobby. Guests traveling between the two places can opt to take a slow and leisure walk or climb on for a ride on one of the many shuttle buggies.

Every one of the villas is separated from another at a comfortable distance overlooking the sea. There are five distinctive villa types which are elegantly furnished to choose from, with the Travelers Palm Villas being the smallest to the largest Royale Palm Villas. All the villas come with air-condition, ceiling fan and modern amenities.
The Canary Palm Villa that we stayed in boasts a living hall and two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and another with twin beds.

The bedrooms are glass-fronted and open out to a private deck with sweeping views of the Straits of Malacca and the villas. We really enjoyed the experience in the villa, especially with the calming sound of the waves below and the clear blue sky above.
There are loads of fun and a wide range of entertainment and leisure activities with land sports, water sports and fitness in the gymnasium which offers a breathtaking panoramic view. On the water, guests can experience canoeing, windsurfing and cart sailing, while on the land, they can take up archery, biking and beach soccer.

There are plenty of dining places at the Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas. In the morning, we had breakfast at the cafe. The buffet style breakfast serves many delicious breads and pastries too. Another attractive place is the soon- to-be open Chinese Restaurant with its balcony overlooking the infinity pool. Two other well known restaurants is the SGC Steamboat Restaurant and the SGC Sunset Beach Restaurant which we have yet to visit.

We ventured out to explore the manicured tropical garden alongside the beach which is indeed tranquil and rejuvenating. It offers the perfect setting for relaxation! Besides that, there are many other nearby attractions such as the Mangrove Sanctuary, Fruit Plantations, Wetlands, Orang Asli Settlement and the Sepang F-1 Circuit.
In the evening together with all the invited guests, we attended the cocktail session of the Golden Palm Tree Soft-Launch Celebration which sees a delightful servings of canapes, wine and juices.
We enjoyed the superb sunset and the beautiful night sky before proceeding to the Golden Palm Tree Soft-Launch Celebration dinner.
What a peaceful night!
The dinner filled with cultural performances and performance by Zainal Abidin, was held in the ballroom of the resort with the presence of Minister of Tourism, Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen.

Delicious harmony of sweet, salty and savory flavor was in the menu for the evening. The Muhibbah menu had the starter of Steam Scallop and Asparagus Phoenix Dumpling, Cheese in Masala in Potato Ball and the LemonGrass Chicken Skewer with Percik Sauce. This was followed by many other dishes including the GPT herbal seafood soup, Steamed Fish and desserts.

We really enjoyed the event and our night at Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas. The perfectly natural surrounding is a welcoming atmosphere and part of the pleasure of staying in Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas. It is well worth a stay for a calm and relaxing holiday, taking a break away from the mundane of everyday city life.
