Goreng Pisang and Fried Fritters at Weld Quay, Penang
Indeed, that is not all that they offer. There is the Cucur Kacang (peanut fritters) which has carrot strips and peanuts mixed together in a flour mixture. Deep-fried in a pot of hot oil till golden brown, the cucur kacang tastes much better with a dip of chili sauce.

If you fancy having a deep fried snack with gooey sweet filling, why not try the fried Tee Kueh. With sticky sweet tee kueh sandwiched between a piece of creamy yam and sweet potato, this makes for a wonderful snack.
Best to have the fritters with tong-sui available from the stall just beside it
A few of my friends who have migrated overseas did comment that these simple snacks to many of us Penangites are indeed nostalgic snacks to them.
Other products include the deep fried popiah and kueh kodok…
These readily and cheap tasty treats can be found at the stall located at the end of Weld Quay on the left hand-side of the road leading on to the Jelutong Expressway. It is nearby to Lang Sae Lee Thai food.
