Starz Diner in Hard Rock Hotel Penang is offering diners a delectable treat from its a la carte menu which features Asian and international dishes. Food is prepared upon order at the open concept kitchen.
Start the meal with the rice paper roll, which is a refreshing healthy appetiser, packed with pickled vegetables, mint leaves, coriander and marinated glass noodles.
The flavours mingled well with the sweet and spicy salsa made with a blend of carrot, onions, pineapples and tomatoes.

For those looking for new surprises, the salmon pegaga is an interesting food combination. Dressed in pegaga pesto with pomegranate salsa, the pan-fried salmon can be paired equally well with mashed pumpkin.

For burgers and sandwiches, interesting choices to look out for include the fish wraps and the Mediterranean cheese burger, with choices of beef or chicken.

The fish wraps have deep-fried fish fillet, romaine lettuce, chili, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and cheese all wrapped up in a tortilla. It is light and perfect with the honey mustard coriander spread.

The mince pie comes with generous fillings, with varieties of lamb, chicken and vegetable. Both the meat dishes are served with mushy peas mashed and beef brown sauce, while the vegetable version is served with mushy peas and vegetable cream sauce.

The chicken briyani is the signature dish under the Asian selection. The hearty dish topped with papadam (Indian crackers) offers an assortment of flavours with the brightly coloured grains, slow braised spiced chicken, cashew nuts, raisins and dal. The chicken has an amazing aromatic flavour and the right amount of spiciness.
The apple pie is one of the many varieties you can choose from to end the meal on a sweet note. Filled with apple and cinnamon, the pie is served with mixed berry compote, and topped with vanilla ice cream.

Starz Diner also offers a set menu for kids. The Lil’ Rocker set with a main course, dessert and drink is priced at RM33.
